Dear Members and Friends of Bethany EFC,
Singapore is “transiting towards a COVID-resilient nation” as announced by the MTF on Friday 6 Aug 2021. With this gradual relaxation of safe management measures, we will be able to increase our number of in-person worship service. Therefore, in line with the latest government advisories, Bethany EFC will resume in-person services from 15 Aug onwards as our country safely exits from Phase 2(HA). For now, in-person services at Bethany will be capped at a maximum of 50 persons, inclusive of those who are unvaccinated, as required by our government. Even though we are able to fully reopen if all are vaccinated, we made this decision to gradually prepare our church to fully reopen in the next few weeks, and give time for people to make the necessary adjustments.
We plan to increase our capacity for more in-person services, including renovation work of our premises to cater to zones of 50 people who are fully vaccinated. Once our church premises is ready, all attendees for services larger than 50 worshippers are required to be fully vaccinated, in compliance with the current government advisories.
We will continue to provide feedback and appeal to the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth in order to include more people for in-person worship services safely. Furthermore, we will continue our weekly YouTube live-streaming and other forms of pastoral care and support, especially for those who are unable to attend in-person worship services. You may tune in to our online livestream via our YouTube page.
Please know that we are constantly reviewing the government guidelines and are making sure we abide by these guidelines in order to keep the environment safe for all, while catering to the needs of our members and regular visitors.
Stay safe.
Thank you,
BEFC CROP Team
