Small Group Ministry
At BEFC, small groups are safe, welcoming spaces to grow in God’s Word, ask hard questions, and build authentic relationships. Together, we pray, encourage, serve, and steward our gifts – caring for one another, reaching the lost, helping neighbours, and living out our faith in community through life’s ups and downs.
If you're interested in joining a small group, feel free to approach any BEFC member – they’ll gladly connect you with a pastor or small group leader. You’re also warmly invited to our weekly service; we’d love the opportunity to get to know you better.

In partnership with other ministries, we foster belonging, discipleship, and growth toward faithful, mature service unto God in all areas of life.

Youths (13–18) today face pressures from peers, media, and a secular culture as they navigate identity, relationships, and emotional struggles. BEFC’s youth ministry supports them through discipleship, equipping them to face life’s challenges with biblical truth – so they grow in Christ with hope, assurance, and a clear sense of purpose.

Our Children’s Ministry addresses children from the ages of 3–12. The curriculum is carefully planned to align with the adult pulpit ministry where possible, and children benefit from weekly biblical teaching, through fun and varied methods. In addition, the teachers are trained with an inclusive Sunday School program (through our mission partner KIN), where we seek to include and consider children of all abilities in our teaching formats.
Every Sunday, our children will join the main service until just before the sermon begins, then they will proceed for Children’s Ministry (usually 10 am – 10.45 am). BDC Kids is typically conducted fortnightly from 11 am – 12 noon.

As a church that sees creation care as part of Christian discipleship, BEFC has the privilege of being “a church-in-a-garden”, where we can use the land in our church to grow a variety of plants, both edible and ornamental. Our community gardening welcomes members of our community (whether you are Christian or not) to garden together.
We garden twice a week on Tuesday mornings and Saturday mornings (some team members only attend once a week).
