Rev. Dr Desmond Soh
Senior Pastor
Rev. Dr Desmond Soh is the Senior Pastor of Bethany Evangelical Free Church (BEFC).
Prior to serving at BEFC, he was Associate Professor of Homiletics and Intercultural Studies at Singapore Bible College, where he was also Senior Director of Strategic Development.
He had also been a tentmaker missionary in Indonesia for almost a decade with his wife Wendy. They were involved in indigenous church-planting, crisis relief, theological education and strategic education development on a national level. He has helped plant six K-12 International School campuses across Java, and several churches in Java and Kalimantan.
Mr Steven Toon
Pastor-in-Training
Mr Steven Toon is a Pastor-in-Training at Bethany Evangelical Free Church where he oversees youths, young adults, and small groups. He is also a Master of Divinity (Biblical Studies) student at Singapore Bible College.
He was a process engineer at a multinational corporation for nine years before responding to God’s call to full-time pastoral ministry.
He currently holds a Graduate Diploma in Christian Studies from the Biblical Graduate School of Theology. He is married to Merilyn and they have two children.
Rev. Dr Leow Wen Pin
Advisory Pastor
Rev. Dr Leow Wen Pin is Advisory Pastor at Bethany Evangelical Free Church since 1 June 2026. Formerly, he served as BEFC's Associate Pastor overseeing small groups, preaching, and instruction, as well as a Board member.
He currently serves at Singapore Bible College as Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies and Practical Theology. A pastor-theologian, he has published many books across multiple subjects, such as the psalms, disability theology/ministry, creation care, and missiology.
He is married to Xinyi and they have three children.
